The Canavi Process
Congratulations on your decision to build the highest quality log home available. Our goal is to keep you well informed of how your Canavi Log Home will be built, and to answer any questions you might have along the way.
During the building process, here’s what you can expect:
- Phase One – Bring in your ideas for the perfect log home. Drawings on dinner napkins accepted! We are a custom log home builder, capable of bringing your vision to life, whether it’s 1500 or 50,000 square feet. We will consult with you on the lifestyle you want to achieve, and offer design suggestions that best meet your goals. We can leverage existing plans similar to what you’re looking for, or create completely custom plans.
- Phase Two– Based on our consultation, we determine the scope of your project. With Canavi Log Homes, we build your home to your specifications. There are never “extras” for you to worry about. We give you the complete price of the home you want. We specify all top quality products to build your log home. If you choose lower cost alternatives, your price will be reduced, accordingly.
- Phase Three – We arrange a meeting for you to sign your contract and provide us with a deposit. Your contract will cover these costs:
- System built Canavi Log Home, using your approved floor plan.
- Delivery of your home from our factory to your property.
- On-site construction of your log home to a lock-up state, using Canavi qualified contractors.
- Phase Four – We schedule a no-cost evaluation of your property by a qualified Canavi representative, to determine the best placement of your log home. Foundation costs can vary depending on the home’s actual location on the property. We also investigate required permits and any building restrictions for your area.
We determine foundation specifications, and provide you with all of the information necessary to engage a general contractor to properly pour the foundation on your property. This will require a separate contract. The cost of the foundation is not included in the Canavi Log Home purchase contract.

- Phase Five – Canavi Log Homes begins building your system built log home in our factory, using our innovative construction process.
- Phase Six – Canavi qualified contractors arrive at your property to accept receipt of your log home shipment. Your home will be reassembled on the Canavi specified foundation, which should take just 3 – 5 days for an average size home. The final balance due on our contract will be paid at this time, and the keys to your new log home will be handed over to you. You are now able to finish the home on your own, or with the help of contractors.

Costs outside the scope of your Canavi Log Home contract include:
- Foundation & excavation
- Roofing
- Interior finishing (electricity, plumbing, flooring, etc.)
- Appliances
- Building permits
